Illegal Aliens Getting Huge Tax Refunds For Kids Who Live Abroad

According to an Indiana NBC affiliate TV station investigation, illegal immigrants are getting more than 4 billion dollars annually in refunds through a tax loophole: the 'additional child tax credit'.  And  for kids who don't even live in this country.  One undocumented worker received a little over $11,000 for 9 nieces and nephews who live in Mexico. The IRS is obviously aware of the problem and doing nothing about it.

Regardless of where you stand on illegal immigration, I think we can all agree that getting huge refunds for children (not even your own) living in a foreign land is absolutely outrageous.

Scott Brown and The Day Obamacare Died- The People Have Spoken

It's been a year since Barack Hussein Obama took office as the elected President of these great United States. With all the promises of hope and change that were bandied about during the campaign, and the great expectations that so many people chose to foolishly glom onto, he has accomplished absolutely nothing. His only potential claim to fame would have been his abominable Obamacare which, along with Pelosi and Reid and the majority of Democrats, he was trying his damnedest to cram down the American people's throats. Very few people wanted it, at least in its present incarnation, and although I do know some who did, they were a paltry few. Yet our elected officials continued on their merry little ways, caring little for what their constituents wanted, nay, demanded.

As an actress who depends on work weeks to qualify for insurance, as precarious as that is, and someone with 2 pre-existing conditions that would make it well-nigh impossible to get insured, I should have bought the Obama/Pelosi/Reid pablum, but I didn't. In fact, this past year was very dry and I am now paying COBRA payments of $2,100.00 per quarter. I don't relish that, but I am still against national health care. I think everyone agrees there is a need for health care reform, but not in the form of Obamacare, or Pelosi/Reidcare. Let's face it, the only reason for the rush was purely political. After riding in on a wave of undeserved glory, Obama has accomplished absolutely nothing, and I'm sure everyone felt it was imperative that at least one campaign promise get fulfilled. Now it looks as if even that might be dead in the water. With the election of unknown Scott Brown (who came out of nowhere in a very short time to overtake Marcia, oops Martha Coakley, the anticipated winner of Teddy Kennedy's MA Senate seat), it could be a goner. Massachusetts is a blue state and Teddy Kennedy, as liberal as they come, had held that seat for decades. He had been one of the greatest proponents of universal health care, and so for a Republican to win that particular seat is of monumental import. Just like lifelong Republicans voted for Obama, lifelong Democrats voted for Brown. Of course, the blame game has already started, with even those laughably blaming the loss on George W Bush.

But push come to shove, I think some of the liberals have finally gotten it through their thick heads that the tea party movement is not just some far right, Republican temporary pastime, and that it isn't just that group of conservatives who are dissatisfied with the direction this country is headed. Scott's win has scared the dickens out of many of the Democrats who see a major overhaul coming in November 2010 if they don't shape up and listen to the people. Personally, I think it's too late for them, but it looks like many are now saying we need to shelve Obamacare, in its present format, pick what is good and start from scratch. Even Barney Frank has said as much. Who knows what will happen in the next few months, Obama knows he will be a one term President, and probably could care less if its pushed through without popular support, so it could pass. I just have a feeling the blue-dog Democrats are feeling the heat right now, and will probably not be inclined to vote for a bill that could lose them their seats come November, or earlier.

Hopefully our politicians will remember Brown's win, and the next time the people speak, they'll listen.

Liberal Hypocrisy At Its Finest- Harry Reid and his "negro" comments

Had it been a Republican instead of Democrat Harry Reid who had uttered the infamous Obama would make a great black candidate thanks to his being a 'light-skinned' African American 'with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one,' they would have been hung up to dry and no longer in office. In fact, liberals have gone out of their way to excuse his blatant racist remark, including many blacks, simply because he is a Democrat.

Black conservatives, on the other hand, see him for what he really is, an idiot racist. What I find so interesting is that most people are under the false assumption that the majority of Republicans are racist, which is far from the truth. They conveniently forget, or never knew to begin with, that the fight to end slavery was started by Republicans. They also have no clue that one of the greatest civil rights activists to date, the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, was a Republican.

We fight hard to keep racists out of our party (Derek Black, Florida), and although we don't always win, at least we make the effort. The Democrats, on the other hand, have former KKK member Sen. Robert Byrd, WV, who has been in the senate for decades. I realize people can change, and that people make stupid remarks without thinking, but it's unfair that liberals are forgiven while Republicans are vilified and pressured to resign. If we're going to be forgiving, then lets forgive across the board.

As for Harry Reid, LTC. Allen West, Black conservative running for a Congressional seat this November puts it very eloquently. I know he has my vote. Perhaps some day he will run for Prez!

Greetings,

The revelation of Senator Harry Reid's comments referencing "negro talk" is just indicative of the true sentiment elitist liberals, and indeed the Democratic party, have toward black Americans. The history of the Democrat party is one of slavery, secession, segregation, and now socialism. It is this new aged socialism born from the Johnson Great Society programs that have castigated blacks as victims needing government dependency. One need only to look upon the city of Detroit to ascertain what liberal social welfare policies have produced for the inner city... the new plantation for black Americans.

The Ku Klux Klan was birthed by the Democrats as a terrorist wing to intimidate blacks, and whites, who sought to promote economic and education independence and social justice for blacks. What was once overt has just morphed and become covert, yet still exists.

One can only imagine the insanity and media outrage if Reid's quote had come from a member of the Republican party. I look forward to hearing from Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton on Reid's comments... or has liberal hush money paid for the silence of these proprietors of poverty and victimization theory. Actually, if President Obama had any courage he would demand Reid step down as Senate Majority Leader, and discontinue any support for his Senate reelection... notice I said "if". I am quite sure the Soros money which elevated Obama to the position of President has bought his servitude.

Why am I running for US Congress as a Republican? Simple. I would rather stand proudly and be called "an Uncle Tom and a sellout" than lose my self-esteem and be considered an inferior by liberals. I understand the legacy of the GOP and the black community... not the revisionist history espoused by liberal educators. I am not, shall never be, and will not raise my daughters to be a part of the liberal 21st century plantation. I am not just some articulate, clean, well spoken negro. I am an American warrior, Congressional candidate, and shall never submit to the collective progressive ideal of inferiority.

Senator Harry Reid's comments are disgusting, despicable, and unacceptable. They are representative of how intellectual elite liberals do indeed speak of black Americans in their closed private spaces. Next week I have been invited to NYC to address the Hudson Institute, a conservative organization, conference on "Reclaiming American Liberty". That invite came to me because I took advantage of the opportunities this great Republic offered. I followed the guidance of my parents and set my standards above all others around me. I speak well and have impeccable communicative skills because my Father and Mother prioritized that quality.

I shiver to think what my future could have been if I listened to the insidious rhetoric of charlatans such as Harry Reid, and the ambassadors of affirmative action who reside in the Congressional Black Caucus.

Sure, the "stuck on stupid" blacks are going to address me in derogatory names, but I possess something which they lack; Honor, Integrity, and Character. To them I say, continue to be slaves to the liberals for your vote... and in a year you will be calling me Congressman West.

Steadfast and Loyal,
LTC(R) Allen B West

Squelching Free Speech: Pissy Perez Hilton VS Miss California (Carrie Prejean)

Since when do we, as Americans, not have the right to voice an opinion? As much as gays have the right to state they should be able to marry, those who oppose the idea have as much right to disagree. This whole issue was thrown into the spotlight by one vicious, nasty little guy called Perez Hilton, who had the gall to ask beauty contestant Miss California, Carrie Prejean, what her beliefs were regarding gay marriage. First of all, what kind of baiting question is that? Second of all, she's entitled to her opinion, whether you agree or not, because this is a free country! Just because someone might not agree with gay marriage, and there are plenty of gay people who don't, does NOT mean one is anti-gay. She probably lost the title because of her answer.

Perez also took it upon himself to try and destroy a Florida photographer who emailed chastising him for the Miss California fiasco, by posting the email on his blog- address, phone number etc. Granted, the photographer's choice of words was very distasteful, but Perez had no right to publish that information.

His website got overloaded and crashed. And his email inbox filled up with hate mail. Someone wanted to burn his home. Someone else wrote about killing him and his family.

So, while people get bent out of shape because there are those who believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman, where is the outcry regarding stories regarding the torture and murder of gays in the Middle East? There was a recent story about gay men in Iraq having their anuses glued shut, then being force-fed a liquid that causes diarrhea, which leads to eventual death. Shouldn't they be blogging about that?

Perez Hilton, and the like, are truly pathetic for their spitefulness and lack of priorities!

Tax Day Tea Party, April 15 2009!

I headed over to City Hall around 4:30 to meet some dear friends in from Los Angeles. Both Canadians, L became an American citizen a while back, but both L and P are more patriotic than some born and bred Americans I know. After coordinating at a parking lot, the 3 of us headed over to the main street where there were already hundreds gathered on either side of the main drag. Hard to estimate how many were gathered, but it seemed as if there were more than 1,000 spread along the staging area. Peaceful but enthusiastic, the crowd held a variety of signs and there were people from all ages and all walks of life. It was very heartening to see so many people out there protesting the excesses of government.

Many people tend to think that this was a partisan, conservative movement, but I know there were democrats and independents and republicans out there, sharing the sidewalk.

The TEA Party (taxed enough already) was created in response to a Congress and President who:

  • vote for a $500 billion tax bill without even reading it?
  • are spending trillions of borrowed dollars, leaving a debt our great-grandchildren will be paying?
  • consistently give special interest groups billions of dollars in earmarks to help get themselves re-elected?
  • want to take your wealth and redistribute it to others?
  • punish those who practice responsible financial behavior and reward those who do not?
  • admit to using the financial hurt of millions as an opportunity to push their political agenda?
  • run up trillions of dollars of debt and then sell that debt to countries such as China?
  • want government controlled health care?
  • want to take away the right to vote with a secret ballot in union elections?
  • refuse to stop the flow of millions of illegal immigrants into our country?
  • appoint a defender of child pornography to the Number 2 position in the Justice Department?
  • want to force doctors and other medical workers to perform abortions against their will?
  • want to impose a carbon tax on your electricity, gas and home heating fuels?
  • want to reduce your tax detectability for charitable gifts?
  • take money from your family budget to pay for their federal budget?

For more information here is the official Tea Party Day website. Hope you were able to participate at one in your state.

And Then There Were 14- Mother Of Octuplets Has 6 More At Home!

No wonder the California mother of octuplets refuses to reveal her identity, and any other information surrounding the multiple births. All that hoopla about 8 miracle babies has suddenly turned into a moral and ethical question of personal responsibility, or lack thereof. Why?

1. It turns out the thirty-something year-old mother is possibly single, living with her parents in a 3 bedroom house. There has been no mention of a father.

2. The grandmother, Angela Victoria Suleman, filed for bankruptcy last year. The grandfather, who is said to be an Iraqi national,(though that's not confirmed) is returning to Iraq as a contractor to help support the horde.

3. And the kicker? She also happens to have 6 other kids! 7, 6, 5, 3 and 2 year-old twins. (The woman has been busy!)

4. She underwent in vitro fertilization (IVF), and it's highly likely the twins were a result of fertility treatments, as well.

The whole ultra-bizarre situation begs for answers, which won't be forthcoming any time soon, as the family is asking for privacy.

But:

1. Where is the father?

2. Why is a young mother of 6 toddlers getting in vitro fertilization?

3. How could the fertility doctor, in all good conscience, even allow this young woman to undergo treatment in the first place; and why did they implant so many embryos when it's a danger to both mother and babies?

4. Who is going to take care of all those kids, and how are they going to support them? Taxpayers' money? The kindness of strangers? It's going to cost millions just for the bare necessities for the 8, let alone the 6 others. And the birthing and extended hospital stay (for the octuplets) is going to cost well over $1,000,000.00.

5. Are they going to cram all those 14 kids into 1 bedroom? The grandfather claims they have another large house somewhere (that he refuses to disclose), but is that true? And if not how are they going to manage? Aren't there legal issues regarding how many people can live under one roof?

6. How is she going to nurture, love and give enough attention to all 14?

7. What is wrong with this woman's parents?

8. What is wrong with her?

Frankly, I find the whole situation rather obscene.

UPDATE 1/31/09

This story gets more bizarre by the day. According to her mother Angela, Nadya Suleman (we finally have a first name), has been obsessed with having babies since she was a teen, and ALL 14 children were through in vitro! She is definitely not married, and has a degree in child and adolescent development. She is studying for master's degree in counseling. She also apparently had some psychological counseling of her own to deal with her obsession, which obviously did no good.

This young woman has major problems and has been failed by her parents, the psychologist, and the fertility doctors. Someone should have said NO, at some point. I feel sorry for those poor children!

Bad Boy Blagojevich Goes Bonkers

I can't decide whether Rod Blagojevich is incredibly stupid, supremely arrogant, totally nuts or all of the above. Maybe that mop of hair has somehow put too much pressure on his brain and he's just flipped out. But you have to admit, the Illinois Governor has been highly entertaining these past few months, since he was busted trying to sell Obama's vacant senate seat. He's run the gamut from denial to defiance to paranoia to outright lunacy.

He's been in denial since day one, and continues to be so. In a recent interview with Diane Sawyer on ABC'S Good Morning America, Sawyer asked Blago if he had done anything wrong. His response,

"Absolutely not and I'll have a chance in a criminal case to show evidence and bring witnesses. And this impeachment trial actually gives me an opportunity, if it was fair, if it allowed me to actually bring witnesses, to prove that the allegations are not true."

Does he truly think he will be exonerated when FBI wire taps have him saying things like
"I got this thing and it's bleepin' golden. I'm just not giving it up for bleepin' nothing.".

And, he claims the Illinois house is out to get him because he helped the people of Illinois.

"The causes of the impeachment are because I've done things to fight for families."

Huh? What delusional, paranoiac world is this man living in? But I guess he might as well chalk it up to some kind of conspiracy theory since he has no other leg to stand on.

His latest bizarro act is claiming he had considered offering the seat to Oprah Winfrey. How wacky is that?!

And it's not just trying to auction off the senate seat the man is guilty of. The Chicago Sun Times compiled the following list of transgressions:

1. Gov. Blagojevich plotted to auction off President-elect Barack Obama's U.S. Senate seat for personal benefit.

2. Blagojevich tried to get members of the Chicago Tribune editorial board fired.

3. The governor signed a bill in exchange for a campaign contribution from the horse racing industry.

4. Blagojevich awarded a Tollway contract in exchange for campaign contributions.

5. The governor threatened to withhold reimbursements to hospitals and doctors in Illinois in exchange for campaign contributions.

6. The governor engaged in pay-to-play in making appointments, and plotted to award a state job to Ali Ata with the Illinois Finance Authority in exchange for campaign contributions.

7. The governor tried to award state contracts to Joseph Cari for campaign contributions.

8. Blagojevich attempted to exchange state permits for campaign cash.

9. The governor failed to abide by the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules and unlawfully expanded the FamilyCare program.

10. Blagojevich purchased additional flu vaccines without proper approval, making the sale illegal.

11. The governor attempted to import prescription drugs from Canada without consent of the Food and Drug Administration.

12. Blagojevich did not follow the appropriations process when he allocated money for the Agency Efficiency Initiative.

13. The governor violated both state and federal laws in the firing and hiring of various state employees.

That's some list of accomplishments!

As entertaining as this whole saga has been, I find the man incredibly distasteful. He looks like a a 2-bit thug, and you have to wonder how on earth did he manage to get elected Governor of Illinois not once, but twice!

If he had any shred of dignity he would have stepped down ages ago. And had he been a Republican, this prolonged circus act would have ended long ago.
